WHAT IS THROTTLE LAG?

When you first press down on the accelerator, there is a delay before anything actually happens. Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) systems cause this as they take the signal from the accelerator pedal when you press it and send it to the vehicle’s ECU. All of this process causes a delay called throttle lag. Besides, manufacturers deliberately leave the delay there because it makes the vehicle suitable for various types of drivers.

The basic steps of the Pedal Commander® installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander® harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander®.

2019 Buick Regal TourX. My wagon with the Trifecta tune added some nice umph...the pedal commander was the cherry on top with the mild to wild throttle response across the board...on the highway, no more delay/lag when ya hit the gas...it kicks down to a lower gear immediately. Sport mode +2 is my favorite mode. Easy install, but they sent me the wrong video instructions. Called them up, & I was helped quickly. Install with the correct instructions shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes.

When I got my 2017 Buick Regal 2.0l turbo Sport Touring I was highly disappointed in the throttle response. I added many mods and a tune but was still disappointed in the throttle lag. I did a lot of research and found that many people think of the throttle enhancers as a joke. I decided to try one anyways. There are a lot of options out there many cheaper than the Pedal Commander. Comparing the differences it was clear that the Pedal Commander was the best option and had the most adjustments and the Bluetooth option was great. The Pedal Commander App is awesome. It makes for easy adjustments. I was able to install it easily under my dash and out of the way. The Pedal Commander completely took away all of the throttle lag!!!!! Lol- my wife asks me to turn it down when she drives it. I run it on Sport +3. I highly recommend the Pedal Commander for these crappy Regal throttle lag. It was well worth the money. I defend and recommend the Pedal Commander on the Facebook forums anytime the subject comes up.
