Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) systems cause this as they take the signal from the accelerator pedal when you press it and send it to the vehicle’s ECU. The basic steps of the Pedal Commander® installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander® harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander®.

Discovering the Pedal Commander has been liberating. Instant throttle response allows cars to perform how they should. I have now installed Pedal Commanders in a 2019 Ford Raptor, 2016 Porsche Boxster GTS, 2008 Mercedes CLK 550, and in several vehicles of friends and family. It is the first performance option I recommend to anyone. Not everyone likes an accelerator they can breathe on and have respond, and Pedal Commander gives those boring drivers the ability to select an eco mode to improve mileage. But for me, the improved responsiveness is what it is all about. Before I add a tune or wheels and tires or even an air freshener, the Pedal Commander is in place. Love the product!

Still playing around with it! I’m running it with a GIAC flash that only functions when car is in Sport Mode. The GIAC THROTTLE response in sport mode is improved over stock sport setting. But running them together is the BOMB! Night and Day difference in throttle response. So far running the 08 Boxster S LE in non-sport with the Pedal Commander set to Plus +4 is the most fun. Makes the car perform as it should from the factory. Rev matching is a breeze. Takes a car that is already one of the most fun cars to drive and makes it even more fun. The only downside is that I went through that tank of gas pretty fast! Couldn’t stop driving it. Smiling the whole way.
