This is my 5th pedal commander. I always buy one when I get a new car. This is the oldest vehicle I’ve installed one on. It’s a 2005 Dodge Ram with only 6K original miles. It LITERALLY WAKES THE VEHICLE FROM A DEEP SLEEP!!! This truck has large tires on it, and it now turns the larger rubber with NO trouble! I have turned on four or five friends to the pedal commander, and everyone says the exact thing…. GAME CHANGER! Period. In most cases it will even better your fuel mileage.
It is the single best (least expensive) mod you can do to any car or truck. Provided they make one for your year and model. Makes any car MORE fun to drive.

What a game changer!!! I was completely surprised to feel the instant change in my trucks performance! It effected not only engine performance but also the transmission performance! I’m old enough that all my phone can do I can’t so no videos. I have a 2005 Ram 3500 with the Cummins diesel. There was a lag out of the hole and computer was indecisive as to matching engine and transmission. It took about 20 minutes to install only because unplugging stock connection was difficult. Install took two. Performance is amazing. I only have it on city +1 and I’m almost afraid to see what it does at higher settings.

Things started off a little rough involving my purchase but the people at Pedal Commander took care of problems and their communication during that process was excellent!!!
Now regarding the product itself I am absolutely loving it. I can't believe the difference. I also had my wife drive my pickup and I wish that I had videoed her reaction. First words out of her mouth were, that is worth every dime we spent on it.

Im 63, I’m a photographer, I’m in no way shape or form a mechanic. My friends run when they see me with a wrench. I had my doubts on me installing this but watched a ton of videos and damn it was as easy as they say it is. And they don’t lie when the say it kicks ass. Understand it’s not more horsepower but quick throttle response and in my Dodge classic warlock with the 3.6 V6 it feels like a V8. Super happy and glad I pulled the plug and bought one.

Hi I installed today so I don't have to much experience yet. My Ram now has instant throttle as if it is cable to throttle body.
Installation is basic. However, more instruction is needed as to how to disconnect the plug. Meaning..mine had a green button that I learned did nothing but I did need to push in on a different spot and then pull to release. I was beginning delicate as I know the consequences.
Lastly it appears the pedal Command does not shut off with the ignition or at all unless I purposely do so. I am not sure of the consequences if I leave it on. Turning off means paging through the other modes to reach the off mode. I will research more to try and solve these minor issues. I still love it!

I purchased the Pedal Commander for my 2016 RAM 1500 over a month ago. I waited a little bit to write a review, and the bottom line is: it works great. The product was incredibly easy to install. I did it buzzed on a Saturday night in like 8 minutes. Now on to the features. The four modes are super easy to switch between with only 1-2 second lag before they kick in. Personally, I've used my phone to switch through modes most of the time and the bluetooth has never had an issue.City: This is exactly what you would expect. It adds a little pep to truck and helps move between gears easier so you dont get that weird bog down area.Sport: Just an upgrade from what city can do. I have been riding around in sport level 1 most of the time with very little affect on fuel mileage.Sport+: I put the truck in this mode one time after installing a new exhaust and kinda laid into it. Spun sideways on the somewhat slick road. Havent put it back in since, that kind of speed isnt for me.Eco: This mode is complete trash. It doesnt help your fuel economy by anything other than taking all response out of the pedal. I get that is exactly what is advertised, but I expected more. Its almost dangerous to put it in this mode on the interstate, especially if you intend to pass....anything.

With the way things are in the world and gas over four dollars a gallon I needed something to try to offset my expenses for my business. I installed this on a 2019 ram Big Horn with a 5.7 hemi. Everybody writes reviews on the performance upgrade that it gives vehicles. I purchased the Pedal Commander in an attempt to save fuel. The installation took about three minutes and was extremely easy to do. It did not cause any issues with the vehicle whatsoever. I put the Pedal Commander in Eco mode and drove a 400 mile route that I take every two weeks. I normally get between 17 and 17.5 miles per gallon but with a Pedal Commander I was averaging 19 to 20 depending on headwind. It’s not a great savings but it will pay for itself overtime and save me money. Power loss was negligible as some people had stated that the vehicle had no power in eco-mode. I did not have any problem passing vehicles or accelerating in Eco mode and still saved fuel. I did play around with it in sport plus mode and yes, it does liven up the vehicle a lot.

It's easy to install fun to play with. As far as saving on fuel when in eco mode, not sure if that really helps much. it just changes pedal points so it seems like it making your car or truck faster, its not. It just responds faster. Which is what I expected.

I bought one for my 2008 Ram 1500 4.7L and made a difference. very easy to install and was installed in under 3 minutes. I keep mine set on Sport +3 but play with it on track mode a lot. Even with my 33s and on Sport +3 i still get better gas mileage than before and so much more power and no lag anymore in response. I will recommend this to anyone.

It’s what I needed for my truck in addition to the cold air intake. My gas mileage has increased by average 3 miles per gallon. No long road trips but I imagine the increase in mileage will be 8 to 10 miles per gallon

Pedal commander is really only for throttle response and throttle control NOTHING ELSE so if your looking for horsepower DO NOT GET THIS just save a couple hundred dollars and get an actual dyno tune from a performance shop

Most fun add on for our Grand Cherokee Overland. Finally, no throttle delay! The hemi comes alive. Gas mileage will go down a bit, if you are an aggressive driver. You didn't buy your hemi equipped vehicle for gas mileage, though, did you?

This little device does everything it says it does and more.. You will notice a difference in every mode, takes that floppy unresponsive gas pedal and gives you complete control again, just like the good ole days when we used to drive by wire.. anyways hope this helps in some way.. Enjoy!!!!

So just recently installed the pedal commander on my 2013 ram 1500 its a very simple thing to install they give a very basic description and pictures to follow on how to install it so I would say just about anyone could install it no problemIt also has a long cord so you could mount it anywhere you wantI have only had it on for about a week but I do drive along and I'll say that the pedal response is incredibleEco mode: if you are just trying to save fuel it will do thar for you on my truck I get about an extra 2-3 MPG on average in eco mode but you will notice it makes the pedal have a lot of lagCity mode: I would say closest to stock mode but you can then do +1 to +4 or -1 to -4 witch allows you to customize your pedal to fit how you want to driveSport: I will just say that this mode is so fun lol I put it in this mode for the dirt roads or when I want to have a little tire spin it gives you instant response on the pedal and you will be surprised by how alive your truck feelsSport+: just wow and I mean seriously just wow of course I had to try this mode to see how it felt and I will just say if you want to burn some rubber or just race anyone on the road this mode is crazy good at it I'll definitely need some more weight in the back of my truck so I can get some traction in this mode but it always puts a smile on my face it's nice to be able to put on and have a little fun

FCA neutered my Ram eco diesel with their update. I took the settlement money and purchase the green diesel engineering ECM. I got me back to baseline with performance, but the pedal commander woke this truck up!!! In sport plus mode it is jumpy because the throttle is so sensitive. My only complaint (if you could call it that) is in sport and sport plus, fuel mileage is definitely affected.

The media could not be loaded. Easy install easy to use incredible the amount of power that’s trapped behind the stock ram throttle. Without the pedalCommander you can mash the throttle and even though the truck has a hemi it’s slow to start and the stock settings won’t let it go. With the pedal commander it’s like making your truck a hot rod. Even just idling and tapping the throttle it’s instant response I love that it has the faster throttle settings but also the economy mode for when you have no need to go fast or cruise saves like 20% on fuel per tank. Even if you on the highway in economy mode you can change settings on the fly from your phone or the commander itself and let her eat! I know it’s expensive but I also have a k&n cold air intake which by itself without the pedal commander wasn’t showing me a whole lot because of the limitations of the stock throttle responsiveness. But now WOW! I would say if you get a peddle commander and don’t have an air intake upgrade that should be your next step. And if you have an aftermarket air intake and no pedal commander then you should have this on your next upgrade sorry it was long I don’t usually write reviews at all but I’m a hard working American who values his money and my truck so hopefully it’ll help you make a decision on picking one up. O and another thing Amazon has them the cheapest just thought I’d throw that out there.

If you are disappointed in your sluggish throttle response, look no further.Pedal Commander solves all of this with a 5 minute install. Feels like you have a real throttle cable from the pedal to the "Carb". (Yes, I know it isn't a carb).Watch out on the "Sport/Sport+" settings. I'm serious. You will break the rear tires loose instantly.My only gripe would be the price, but it is what it is.

It make my 2017 ram 2500 feel like it has been deleted, city +3 feel really good. It would be nice if it can disconnect in going in reverse like the Banks Version. But it is fast to turn it off for backing up the toy hauler.

As the heading shows, I drive a 17 RAM 3500 Dually with 4.10 and Aisin transmission so mine is considered the HO. There are a couple of things I didn't see when researching. 1. Nobody seems to have long-term use reviews. Everyone is talking about just installing, had it a day, love the power, etc... 2. Does it make the truck jerk from a stop (slam the diff) or does it cause any other drivability issues.I will be a little hypocritical with my review, as I have only had mine about a week or so. I do intend on keeping it installed at least until the January 31st return window (if it doesn't cause any problems with the truck I will keep it installed). I have towed empty, pulling my 19k lbs. fifth wheel, running Diesel additive, and without additive. In all these scenario's I have kept it tuned to either City +4 or Sport with no +/-.Even with the Aisin being a slightly stiffer transmission, I have been very impressed on how the truck feels now. I am not driving it like a rental car so I have not seen any decrease in fuel efficiency. I have not even tried the Sport Plus settings. It accelerates extremely smoothly and the power seems to come on gradually but quickly (if that makes sense). Anyone who drives the Aisin knows the feel of the 1st to 2nd injector cutout, and with the PC the hesitation or cut out seems to be much smoother or less apparent. I haven't had any hard upshift or downshifts. The turbo spools the same as far as psi goes. I know what psi I was running before and it seems to be the same after installing the PC. However, the power is much more instantaneous and causes the transmission to down shift accordingly. Even when towing the trailer, I didn't feel like the amount of power it gave was causing stress or damage to the motor or drive component (that was one of my concerns). I can control my speed while towing and driving empty much better, which I believe is giving me the same if not better MPG. Before the PC, when I added Hot shots Secrets EDT, I could notice a difference in idle but also acceleration. With the PC installed, the truck has an equivalent amount of power with or without additive. I will likely still use it for its cleaning capabilities but will only use the maintenance dose now instead of the performance dose.**Update**2 months now and 1 snow storm. I haven't had and CEL's and loved that I could turn down my throttle sensitivity when we had 24" of fresh snow. Being able to tame all that torque was key to keeping me on the road when it was snowing and icy. I am a bit surprised it didn't trigger any CEL when my truck goes into "battery saver mode" on really cold morning -4 to 13 degrees F. When the grid heater cycles, it drops to 11 Volts, but no Check Engine Lights. Very happy with that. I will say, I would never use the "eco" mode if I weren't in the snow! It makes the truck feel like a slug and very delayed turbo spool, but in the snow....perfect!

I don’t normally write reviews…but this thing is insane, I installed it before making a 4 hour road trip that I make every weekend. I normally average at 12mpg (throughout the mountains). Now I’m averaging at 18-20mpg in city mode. When I first installed it (which took about 3 min) I put it in sport + mode and let me tell you. Don’t step on the throttle If you aren’t prepared for it. It puts your head in your seat and takes off like a bat out of he**. 100% 10/10 recommend. Let this be the reason for a smile on your face. That feeling you had the day you bought your vehicle

This thing is the TRUTH! the stable and let all the horses go. A young whippersnapper pulled up bedside me wanting to race in one of those funny looking souped up Japanese cars. I have a 2017 Ram1500 Hemi (Blackhawk CAI, Flowmaster super 10 exhaust and sitting on 33×12.5×22 rims and tires). When the light turned green I could see his mouth wide open in my rearview mirror. This was the first aftermarket product for my '18 Ram EcoDiesel & worth every penny. I had bought my truck new in the lower 48 and only had 1K miles when I installed PC. I was sick of the dead pedal when it was cold, waiting to build boost trying to pass someone, really had to be careful not to get hit pulling out in front of someone. You ED owners know what I mean. It was hard not comparing my ED to my '03 Ram Cummins. The PC is so easy to install, maybe 10 mins max without any tools. I immediately noticed the difference the first time I drove the truck, starting on lowest economy negative setting to get a feel how it ran. It felt & drives like a different truck. On highest setting I can actually break the tires loose. The shifts seem firmer, not sure if this is wishful thinking or it does shifting firmer. I can't think of anything bad to say about this product, not a single check engine light. Nowadays you can't trust reviews on Amazon since some are bribed with parts or deep discounts. I actually got a better deal on PC website after asking to beat the price here.

It does everything the reviews say it does,except for the bad stuff. Takes out that sluggish throttle and the trans doesnt try to stubbornly stay in od or a high gear till you press the pedal almost to the floor.Now it is more responsive and easier to drive and tolerate.

This product does not increase horse power or torque !!! This product reduces the delay in throttle response. Having said that, you will notice a difference in output of your transportation once installed. This product will wake your vehicle up regardless what your vehicle is. the larger the engine the larger the difference. It can also help with the saving of gas!!! Great product !!!

The Pedal Commander arrived on time. After reading the directions, the hardest part was to walk my keys 30 meters away from my 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi. Then wait 5 minutes for power to turn off, and fit myself under the dash board. The wires were very easy to disconnect and reconnect. I was very skeptical at first. I hit the remote start and it cranked right up with no problem. But once I put it in Sport mode +4 I could definitely feel the difference in take off. Then I put it in Economy mode and on the highway I was able to get from 22mpg to 26mpg, and from 423mi on tank to 502. Hence AWESOME! Now it has been about a month and all is looking good. Even while driving, I have changed from economy to city to sport to sport+ and still no check engine light. But! When I turn on the Tow/Haul switch and off traction control, and tach up to 2000rpms and then hit it. The tire will spend in first and second gear, by third gear, I was at 60mph. I do not use the + or - anymore. I just put it in sport+ mode, stump it and almost smoke the tires every time. Oh, I forgot to mention, I do have the regular K&N air filter installed at the moment.

Doesn’t do a lot. I’d say it just shortens the distance you need to push the pedal to get full throttle. It’s fun. I wouldn’t buy it again though.

I’m aware of the issues some customers have had, and at the first sign of a check engine light or any unexpected throttle input I will be installing the pedal commander to the nearest trash bin and updating this review. It's a great kit, works awesome on my 2017 Ram 1500 SLT. Gettysburg mg great gas mileage on city mode, eco is good but definitely not a get up and go mode, highway yes. I have mine set on Sport 3, I tried the sport+ it's a bit much. Great piece of gear and extremely simple to use.
